Functional textiles mean that in addition to the basic physical properties of conventional textile products, they also have special functions that some conventional textile products do not possess. In recent years, various functional textiles have emerged in an endless stream. This article summarizes the assessment standards and evaluation indicators of eight functional textiles. This article summarizes the assessment standards and evaluation indicators of eight functional textiles.

Moisture absorption and quick-drying performance

To assess the performance indexes of textiles 'moisture absorption and quick-drying capabilities, the national standard has two evaluation standards: "GB / T 21655.1-2008 Evaluation of textiles' moisture absorption and quick-drying properties Part 1: Single-item combined test method", "GB / T21655.2-2019 Evaluation of moisture absorption and quick-drying of textiles. Part 2: Dynamic moisture transfer method. Enterprises can choose the appropriate assessment standard according to the characteristics of their products. Regardless of whether the single combination method or the dynamic moisture transfer method is selected, the textiles must pass the relevant moisture absorption performance and quick-drying performance indicators before and after washing to be able to claim that the textiles have hygroscopic and quick-drying properties.

Waterproof performance

Water proof:

"GB / T 4745-2012 textile waterproof performance testing and evaluation of water staining method" is a method of testing textiles against water splashing. In the standard, the anti-wetting level is divided into 0-5 levels. Level 5 indicates that the textile has excellent anti-wetting performance. Level 0 indicates that it does not have anti-wetting performance. The higher the level, the better the anti-wetting effect of the fabric.

Resistance to hydrostatic pressure:

Anti-hydrostatic pressure performance simulates the waterproof performance of textiles in heavy rain environment. The test method used in the national standard is "GB / T 4744-2013 Textile Water Resistance Test and Evaluation of Hydrostatic Pressure Method". The standard stipulates that the anti-hydrostatic pressure capability of textiles is not less than 4kPa, which means that it has anti-hydrostatic pressure performance, not less than 20kPa means that it has good hydrostatic resistance performance, and not less than 35kPa means it has excellent anti-hydrostatic pressure performance. "GB / T 21295-2014 Technical Requirements for Physical and Chemical Performance of Garment" stipulates that the rain-proof function should be achieved, the anti-hydrostatic pressure capacity is not less than 13kPa, and the anti-storm is not less than 35kPa.

Oil repellent performance

Is more commonly used in clothes with anti-oil and anti-fouling functions. For woven textiles, you can refer to the technical requirements in "GB / T 21295-2014 Technical Requirements for Clothing Physical and Chemical Properties", and test in accordance with the method standard "GB / T 19977-2005 Textile Oil Repellency and Hydrocarbon Test" to achieve oil rejection. The level is not less than level 4. Other textiles can refer to or customize requirements.

Easy decontamination performance

For woven textiles, you can refer to the technical requirements in "GB / T 21295-2014 Technical Requirements for Physical and Chemical Properties of Clothing" and conduct tests in accordance with the method standard "FZ / T 01118-2012 Testing and Evaluation of Anti-fouling Performance of Textiles for Easy Decontamination" , To reach the level of easy decontamination no less than 3-4 (the white and bleaching can be reduced by half).

Antistatic performance

Many winter clothes like to use anti-static textiles as fabrics, and there are many standard methods for assessing electrostatic performance. Product standards include "GB 12014-2009 anti-static clothing", "FZ / T 64011-2012 electrostatic flocking fabric", " GB / T 22845-2009 anti-static gloves "," GB / T 24249-2009 anti-static clean fabric "," FZ / T 24013-2010 durable anti-static cashmere knitwear ", etc. Method standards are GB / T "12703.1-2008 Evaluation of Textile Electrostatic Properties Part 1: Static Voltage Half-Life", "GB / T 12703.2 -2009 Textile Electrostatic Performance Evaluation Part 2 Charge Surface Density", "GB / T 12703.3- 2009 Evaluation of Electrostatic Properties of Textiles Part 3 Charge Amount etc. Enterprises often use 12703.1 to assess the electrostatic half-life of textiles, so as to assess the grade of the fabric, which is divided into grade A, grade B, and grade C.

UV protection

"GB / T 18830-2009 Evaluation of textile UV protection performance" is the only national method standard for testing the UV protection of textiles. The standard stipulates the test methods for the anti-sunlight ultraviolet performance of textiles, the expression, evaluation and identification of protection levels. The standard stipulates that "when the UPF of the sample is greater than 40 and T (UVA) AV is less than 5%, it can be called an anti-UV product.

Insulation performance

FZ / T 73022-2012 "Knitted thermal underwear" requires a thermal insulation rate of more than 30%, and the method standard quoted is GB / T 11048-1989 "Test method for thermal insulation performance of textiles". For thermal underwear, you can choose the standard test. For other textiles, since GB / T 11048-1989 is obsolete, the Kro value and thermal resistance can be evaluated according to the new standard GB / T 11048-2018, according to the "GB / T 35762-2017 textile heat transfer performance test method flat method 》 Evaluate thermal resistance, heat transfer coefficient, Kro value, and heat preservation rate.

Non-iron textiles

Shirts, dresses and other products are required to have no-iron performance to facilitate daily maintenance by consumers. "GB / T 18863-2002 Non-iron Textiles" mainly evaluates the appearance flatness, appearance of seams, appearance of pleats after washing, etc.
